Stop calling it a "FJ."
Hi All:
I typically post in the 40/45/55 Section, but lurk here in Hardcore.
My trail rig is a "parts rig" FJ40 registered as a '74, but with parts from other 40 Series, from 1968 through 1978, as well as some GM parts.
The front suspension is OME 1.5 inch lift springs with stock-length shackles in the factory location. When the suspension gets really twisted-up, especially when in an off-camber situation, the front shackles may invert - most often the right-side one.
Any suggestions for a "fix" to this problem?
I've posted here in "Hardcore" because many of you folks have experience with putting these rigs through more extreme stuff then the typical owner.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Regards,
Alan
