So if you read my last post you know I had a wreck in one of my landcruisers (FJ62 1990 Gray ,Virgil only owned it for 3 weeks) Should I part it out here or should I fix whats damaged or sell it as is? its still driveable damaged down passanger side front door will need replaced and fender, the rest is minor dents or scratches. So if the vultures stay off until I decide what to do. I can remove mechanical items and panels that can be unbolted, however no parts that would need cut from the body. I guess the questions is, is it worth the hassle? on the other side anyone have a passenger front door and fender? I guess taking one apart would really help me learn the other Landcruiser (Pete 1989 FJ62).

my opinion...

...is to fix the body damage if that's truly all that it is. So is it just driveable or was there no mechanical damage at all??

In my world, It WOULD be a hassle once 2/3 of it is gone and all the high-demand parts are gone...then, I'd have a carcass to get rid of or store.

And really...ask yourself how much you love your Cruiser, is it your only cruiser, do you need the $$$ from parting it out more than enjoying the vehicle. You could replace the fender and door for a several hundred bucks and wheel it and drive it...get matching paint later. Heck! you might even find matching panels and a door! (aaaah...the power of positive thinking)

OK, I'm done with my $.02

Yes I have another Landcruiser, There was no mechanical damage at all just body panels that can be unbolted and replaced. The miles are low which makes me think should I keep it? and sell the other one? Or maybe fix it and still have two? tough what to do? I am sure what ever I want to do the wife will think or say lets do something else? As for replacement parts I have called most of the West Coast places and they don't have any used fenders or doors? so how long is worht waiting to find the parts? I don't mind the dents but you can't get in the passanger side.
