Hi all,

I am working with a company to try to illuminate interior items and would like input from the group. As of now there are two colors to choose from -- see below:

1) Green -- (for button inlays, dash labels, gauge areas, etc...)
2) Blue -- (for button inlays, dash labels, gauge areas, etc...)

The cost is quite high, but the results are all-night luminance with a very long shelf-life (The company furnishes special UV coatings for outdoor applications)

I would need for example at least 5 owners interested in sending their existing buttons to get started with a cost of around $250-300/set depending on how I finalize details.

Let me know what you think and if there is a custom application you would like to try.....I am posting this a feeler to see how it goes.

See attached picture for the 'glow' at night --

Hey I'm all for folks making it your own. Not a fan of bright interior lights unless I turn on my aux cab lights. When the weather clears I'm changing to a selectable white/yellow 18W LED spot/work light. I'll be adding one as the back up light to. I might do all the others Darth, dash and cab to LED in their standard size/location.
One advantage to having the rig since 1982 is I know where the switches are even in the dark.

While I’m not entirely sure what buttons you are referring to nor how they would be modified, I can’t stand blue nighttime illumination. It is terrible for your night vision. Green, red or amber would be my choice.

Can you provide a more detailed explanation of what you are trying to do to what particular thing/s?

Great questions and let me explain more:

1) The 'test' picture shows the strongest illumination to show in the picture.....The final product will be the lowest emission to balance with your vision
2) See image of other colors (red, blues, greens) -- I am not sure what exactly will be available at this moment

3) The goal is to illuminate the center (inlays) of buttons at night for the few seeking such an option
4) I will offer this modification on any other surface however (labels for the dash, shift knob, or any gauge face area)
5) You may also ask a custom request to illuminate any object in your interior or dashboard

The process is a bit costly and you will need to send in whatever you would like to illuminate.....

As I say this is a prelim post to see if anyone finds this a suitable project -- and nothing is set in stone so I am certainly happy to talk with anyone in greater detail about it.

Your pic's are meaning less to me on my computer - size, color and brightness are seldom rendered true on a screen. Want to sell me, then show the headlight or wiper switch illuminated at night with the camera at eye position when sitting in the drivers seat

Not looking to mislead or deviate & thanks for the heads up.....

This is strictly a illumination service for any and all interior items. The early buttons are solid so no lights work. None.

I am seeking interested and serious owners to help open the discussion with me so we can see what works --

This is an expensive and big project but the rewards will be well worth it IMHO.

I do not have the buttons and the process is too complicated for a single button -- hence I need to find who is interested first :)

Thanks,

If this bulb circled in red is working it should cast light on all the knobs. Different wattage and led are available to get the correct color temperature desired. Then make sure your knob letters are crisp and white just my .02
