I messed with the temperature on the AC last week when we were traveling. Now, the driver side isn't as cold as the passengers side. I've tried turning the AC off then back on and that hasn't worked.
It seems as if the blend door or whatever is stuck on my side so the AC is kind of warm. The passenger side is great.
What else can I try? It's hot here I Phoenix so I need maximum AC power!
Thanks!

In addition to having a faulty blend door motor as a possibility, that's also a symptom of low refrigerant as well.

I don't see where to click to edit posts, but this is a 2008 with navigation. I checked all the fuses and they look good, as well.

The passenger side blows at about 39 degrees. The drivers side blows at about 88. It sucks.
Still can be low. Blend door motors usually buzz or rapidly click when they go bad. Could of had a rock put a small hole in the condenser on your road trip and it's leaking.

Have you checked for error codes on the A/C control unit? It will run a self test and check all the different blend door settings.

Langsen, I havent tried that yet. I did take down the glove box and it looks like the actuators are moving properly.

But, i also noticed that the rear air doesn't blow cold nor does the auxiliary fan on the condenser turn on. So, it may be low on refrigerant like BlackCat suggested. I'll have to have it looked at on Monday since I dont have the tools for ac work.

Well, I took it to have the AC checked. The system was very low on refrigerant. No leaks at the compressor or any other place could be found. We replaced the schrader valves, since they have a high failure rate, sucked the system down and recharged it.

It's working great, again. Hopefully, it's fixed, now!

It's leaking from somewhere, unless it was a schrader valve. They typically leak after they've been messed with, not before. Did they put dye in it so if it stops working they can easily pinpoint the leak?

I sure hope not. I just got this thing a few weeks ago and that would be a real kick in the junk this soon.

I'll keep an eye on it to see how it performs. Fingers crossed.

Evaporator front isn't too bad. Rear gets spendy

Yes. Would you do it yourself? It is in the center. Lots of work but the part is pretty cheap

I wouldn't, no. The dealers should be pretty experienced with dash replacements since the recall for cracking.

If at any point I have to replace the evaporator, I'm doing all HVAC components in there including the core.

Well, as my luck would have it, I found dye in the condensation dripping from the evaporator drain. The AC wasn't a cold as yesterday when we charged it. It's only blowing at about 58* on the freeway. The leak didnt show up yesterday on the vacuum test.

This blows ass.
