Hi I just got those new parts (oil sending unit/coolant temp sensor) and Im planning to install them later this week and I want to see if someone can help me with a doubt that I have.

Do I need to use any type of tape on the threads for both parts before install them?

Additionally I will like to know if someone knows where the coolant sensor connections goes from the sensor to the other end.

What doe the AC idler pulley does? The reason why Im asking this is I know mine is broken but I want to know if thats the reason why my AC is not blowing cold air.

Any suggestion to the gas/fuel canister, can it be clean. Instead of being replaced

Thanks

A/C idler pulley is the to be adjusted enough to create proper A/C bet tension. If belt is too loose it will not turn the A/C compressor.

Oil sender is probably OK to use Teflon tape on, but coolant temp sender should be installed naked for most accurate readings.
