I have a 01 Land Cruiser without nav and one of the illumination (when lights are on) is out and I called a parts site and did a bunch of searching but can't find a definitive part number. I was told there were 2 different types of bulbs, there are 2 of one type and 8 of the others.
9001005104 - Qty. 2 wire integration board
8499970007 - Qty. 8""
Anyone know which one is the one I am talking about/need?

Do you have the 3 rotary knob climate controls? If so the back of the panel looks like picture below and I think the blub is a T4 Neo Wedge. I just ordered a bunch of LEDs to replace all mine because some were burnt out, they should be here tomorrow and I can let you know for sure what size the bulb is.

http://autolumination.com/74.htm half way down the page look for "Neo - Wedge Incandescent Instrument Panel Bulbs Type A, B & C" you want to order clear and reuse the green silicon cover on the factory bulb or order a new cover from that same site.

Or you could replace all with LED: T4 T5

Again I can't confirm these are the correct size, I should know tomorrow. I asked on this thread and didn't get a response:

Interested to see how the LED's turn out. I may be interested in doing that as well, to match the Pfran lights. Or go red.

Me to, I did white LEDs in the gauge cluster and it looks really good, a little more blue than white but still looks good. I also have an Alpine headunit which has blue illumination, so I'm hoping that by doing the climate controls it will all match a little better. After that I'm going to tear apart the center console and see what I can change in there.

This thread covers the gauge cluster: https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/409313-led-instrument-panel-gauge-cluster.html

Yes. I have the three rotary knobs. I'd appreciate if you let me know if its the 8 or the 2 that do the illumination and thank you for all the info!

The 8 small blubs are T4 NEO Wedge the 2 large bulbs are T5 NEO Wedge. Didn't have time to snap pictures before work, will get some up tomorrow. Also I did have to file a little material off the T5 bulb mounting tabs to make them fit perfectly.

Of the 8 smaller/T4 bulbs:
1 is for the hazard
1 is for the center diff lock button
1 is for the antenna up/down button
5 for the climate control knobs

I think the two T5 bulbs are for the clock/temp display

The rest of the buttons in that center dash section are surface mounted LED, which could be changed but I'm not going to bother with that.

Hmmm... Interesting. I was thinking some would be for the little indicator lights and some switches and some would be for illumination, not both.

In the picture below you can see the rear defrost, rear air and mirror defrost all use surface mount LED. The T5s are behind the clock/temp display.

Very cool. Thanks. I can't see them in the picture but are the ones behind the clock/temp a pain to get to that will probably end up breaking something/have something not work? And did you have to take moulding around radio and ac off to do work?

So they work but there are a few hot spots of concentrated light, I'm going to look for another option that will spread the light a little more even and I also want something more blue. Also might just stick with incandescent for the clock I think the LED is too bright. I will say that even with the hotspots it does look 100% better...

Looks cool to me (aside maybe from the clock), I can't even see the time in the pic. What are the red LEDs on the right? It reminds me of the green LED accelerator on Knight Rider.

Do they dim? I put leds in my 4runner a couple of years ago but found that it is all or nothing. Full bright is ok down low, but went back to incands further up.

Changed to blue LED and happy, pictures don't do justice...

It's a National Luna knockoff I got off eBay for $85, had it about 4 years.

Cool, were the gear indicator bulbs hard to replace? Are they the same bulbs as the seat heater switches?
