Due to AC condensers being NLA and difficult to source from a third party, I have recently completed what will be a drop in kit form condenser. And its efficiency is unsurpassed. On aveage, %20 less heat load on radiator, lower head pressures, less load on compressor and engine.
The original serpentine style condenser served a purpose for R12 and its lower operating pressure, but will now be replaced by a much more efficient 4 pass micro-channel coil that I have custim fit to utilized the factory mounting points and physical mounts/bushings with zero clearance issues if used in STOCK FORM as the original condenser. This in conjunction with the like for like charge of 134a (based on the R12 charge) makes this a kick to the pants. The cabin heat rejection really gets pulled out now.
Currently I have completed the 60 series. The 62 is close, working out the compressor manifolds.
Will utilized two new hoses with fittings and condenser. Debating on including a drier, only because of the fitment issue with the new style driers and clamp gaps. I do know there is a 3d printed part out there that fills this gap nicely....
For those running R12, this will also work. Photos show the old serpentine and the new 4 pass.
Soon looking into a direct fit for kit the 80 series as well. Feel free to PM if interested interested. Thanks
