ABS Wheel well liners for 40???

I've got what I think is a great idea rattling around in my head but don't have the skills to make it happen. It seems to me the Achilles heel of these trucks is debris and road grime collecting around the rear sill area and rollbar supports. Has anyone ever experimented with making a set of plastic liners for their truck? I wish I had some experience with ABS molding! I'm headed to the junkyard tomorrow and am going to start measuring various vehicles' wheel wells looking for a potential candidate for adapting them to a 40.

I just thought this would be an interesting discussion. Looking forward to hearing suggestions and/or comments!

Here is a great solution - I may have to try this even though I'm in California. I try not to run mine in the rain but you never know when the rogue storm will hit.
