Hello all, my first post here,

About a month ago I was driving down a dirt road which was not bad, perfectly graded just sandy. I switched off the car while we went for a coffee and rest when I switched it back on the ABS, VSC off and VSC TRC lights all stayed on, Switched the car off and one a couple times, didn't help. because I was in the middle of nowhere I was forced to drive home, during that drive breaks felt same as usual and no difference that I noticed.

Brought it to the garage later (maybe not the best decision??) and after a couple hours got the phone call that the problem was the master break cylinder and that a new one would be 3500-4000 dollars... money which id rather not spend, so the guys had been looking for a second hand one from Dubai but its been 1.5 Months.... and im getting sick of waiting.

So my question was, what are your opinions on the situation? is the master break cylinder really the problem (garage guy was very quick to determine this and very naive)? and anyone have any other ideas or opinions?

Could be a number of things: zero calibration, faulty or dirty wheel speed sensor, loose connector plug, are just a few. I'd take it somewhere else and have them read, and show you, the brake codes if you don't have the knowledge to do it your self. At least that way you know you are not getting ripped off.
Good luck. I hope it turns out to be something cheap and simple. Zero calibration would be that one.

Mine did the same thing. Solved it with a new wheel speed sensor. Cheap and easy fix. Hopefully yours will be similar.
