the 6spd manual can't be had on the new 4Runner. You can do a swap later yourself since it bolts right up (Tacoma 6spd M)

I think the 3rd Gen had an option for 5spd M (96-02). I am not sure about mpg's (you can try yotatech for tons of owners info)

I think you will find the V6 2005-06 to have the best mpgs of all 4Runners . All new 4Runners have 5spd Auto.

2000, don't know the code for the manual.

Probably the first year was 03 with the new generation
