My FJ40 is on its way to the muffler shop for a stainless set-up. then its just a matter of adding the final trim (bezel, etc.) and this resto is complete! We are so close I can almost smell it!

More pictures are in my album under "pendergastjm".

Nice restore, you need to bring in some pics and esplain the restore step by step...

Hey! Your bezel is... well, at least it's not upside down.

looks great what lift are you running, i like the no betezl look.

WOT? Only one pic, not fair:eek::eek:

I wonder if that is what he meant when he wrote, "More pictures are in my album under "pendergastjm"."

I could be wrong, but when you click on his pic and it goes to his profile, and there is a section of pics under "albums", you might find a few beauties there.

I am also being an "A" hole.

Seriously, there are about a dozen or so pics in his album, and they look pretty. They are really worth the look-see.

Have a great one Bsmith.

And cool crusier Pender G.

We put on Old Man Emu 2" lift. With the tires we got about 3" to 4 " of lift compared to the original set-up. Since the vehicle only has 11,000 miles on it, it was a pretty easy restore.

Rollback ride to the muffler shop?? .......:meh:

Must be nice........

You had me guessing for awhile it took several pics to figure out the year.... the one of the dash I saw the side window defroster I thought i was looking at a late 80's then I saw features that pointed to a 78.

The tires are: BF Goodrich Radial Mud Terrain T/As (33" x 10.5" x 15") I have the original tires also, but wanted something a little beefier.

It is definately a 78. The side window defrosters were on it when purchased new. Don't know if they were insatlled at the factory or the dealer back then.
