Watch carefully how the insulators come apart where the power comes into the glow rail. I screwed those up once and blew one of the main fuses in ball of smoke. Also, clean all the contact surfaces really well to make sure the high current can get through. Don't loose the little nuts that hold the glow rail on the glow plugs.

How did I miss that back when I took out the throttle plates? Apparently, a PO misread the schematics. I'm now wondering how this may have affected my airflow and if it had anything to do with the smoking at idle after warmup? I guess I'll find out when I get her back out on the road. Wait, maybe I did it when I put it back together?
