Hmmmm, hows your catch can holding up? Is it full of oil? Looks about like mine before I routed my PCV to atmosphere.

His PCV is routed to atmosphere. He's wondering if that oil is residual, or if the turbo seals are going. I suggested he clean it all up, run it for a bit and check for fresh oil. If there is new oil, it can only be the turbo seals.

Thanks for the clarification, I thought the PCV was still going into the intake after the catch can. My turbo seals went out as well; not only was there a lot of oil in the intake, but the engine made clouds of blue smoke and there was plenty of play in the turbo shaft.

I still get a very small amount of oil in my intake (post turbo) after my rebuild. I too vent my Valve cover via a tube that runs into my frame rail. I figure the blow by will make my frame nice and rust free! haha

Well, it was warm enough to get started on the Evans Waterless replacement, so I pushed her out and followed Nicks instructions as best I could. Thought I throw some more pics up.

I finally got to yank the alien coolant bypass thingy that I mentioned earlier in this thread.

On goes the new Rad hose with my water temp sensor. I'm gonna let her sit a few days and let her air out to get as much of the water out as possible. I'll do the Evans flush product next and then repeat this process before I put in the Evans final product. More to come.

You could use some duct tape to hook up a hair dryer to the rad hose and put it on a low setting to really dry it out.

Jimmy, could you share the part number for the thermostat please? I haven't been able to figure out a cross here.
Thanks

A few more pieces of the next project arrived this week, a few more to get, but, now we're off to New Zealand for a 3 week OIL trip. I'll get to look at all kinds of 70's there and may even snag an idea or two for mine. So this project will have to wait a little longer!

Nice to see you are still at it! Looks like you have some work cut out for you when you get back from your trip. Maybe you can pick-up some goodies for your truck over there too. Sometimes I drool over the stuff for sale on here: Buy online and sell with NZ's #1 auction & classifieds site | Trade Me

Jimmy, nice CT-20! Is that new-new or rebuilt?
Following this thread, since I am experiencing similar issues with oil in the cross over and crazy whining at around 2200 rpm.
