Got bored and did a photoshop install of my OME lift . Made the bumper look more like the ARB thats on there now. Starting to try some graphics that will eventually end up on there. Going for the look of the Early SR5 graphics on toyota pickups. Opinions?

I like it. If it were me I would continue the graphic onto the front doors and maybe around that same groove on the back doors. Look through pictures of JDM trucks and I'm sure you'll get some good inspiration. The JDM HJ60's had sweet 80's graphics!
Yes indeed they did. When I was trying to find an HJ61 before I found this, those jdm graphics were part of my requirement I liked them so much!

Yeah, I'm late to the party but I'm liking everything about it.

Isn't a pop top made for a troopy? The would make one hell of an exped rig. I have a road map of Venezuela.....

Yeah, there are a few pop top options for it! One will find its way on to there eventually but there is a lot to do before then. A lot of saving money mainly.

In case it sparks some interest here.....

The original TJM front bumper I had is listed in the Exterior/Armor classifieds. It doesn't have an asking price, just trying to avoid scraping it since it should be used. Make me an offer and come get it if you want!

Cheers

Why swap a TJM for an ARB? Mine came with an ARB but had it not I'd fabricate my own with storage for air and or water.

I was actually going to change the TJM slightly and powdercoat it but i just couldnt get the thought out of my head about how much I like the look of the ARB on troopies. Sits so flush with the front and compliments the lines well. I am a very visually critical person so it may sound crazy and wasteful to you to buy a new bumper just because it looks better but not to me. So, thats what I did.

id lend ya a hand if i didnt live east coast..... looks realy good.
Thanks, Andrew. You do plenty by helping me over the internet :)

I have scheduled professional help with the suspension. To avoid needing a tool I don't have to get an old bolt off or something while it's all taken apart. Since it's my only ride. plus, putting it on a lift will be awesome compared to a bottle jack haha

That is a ton of leaf in those rear springs! Wonder if you'll want to have them pull one or two leafs to soften it up? Or keep em and put a kaymar or other gear on the back end!!
Yep, thats the plan. Remove one from the front until I get around to the second battery and winch. Remove one from the rear so its perfect for my interior build out weight, then add it back in when I find a rear bumper/tire carrier solution. This is proving to be the most aggravating thing with the build so far.... trying to find a place to put this spare tire. its too large and wobbles around in the stock underneath spot, don't have the door carrier and there are no options in the US for a bumper with tire carrier. VERY annoying

When I worked at Toyota we ordered the spare carrier to be mounted on the door.
Maybe you can still get it from the dealer.
We just used steel strips inside the door as reinforcements, it never gave a problem with the weight.

Metaltech is in Newberg and does some nice work. You could always try to hit them up for a custom bumper to hold your spare. If I recall they have done some work on 70 series before.
