Window molding and gaskets
Query 1:
I recently replaced my driver door gasket with the City Racer flavor and I feel like I get a ton more road noise/pressure leakage. Has anyone else had this issue? I do need to replace my hinges at some point soon, could that be a contributing factor? Loose hinge pins?

Query 2:
Is there a way to remedy this window trim/moulding issue? It’s on my rear street side door, fixed glass.

Hey There friends...

I am out of town w/o my 62, can someone tell me how thick/tall the frame is? I am trying to design some parts for SendCutSend and need that dim. I'm pretty sure it is 5" and yes I've looked but have only found schematics that don't actually have those measurements.

Thanks,
Ian

What a tease

What a tease
Teasing a tease.

Ordered some diy sliders from Summit. Want to make some plates to mount them like White Knuckles.

Could you measure your frame Jim? Height and depth of the box tube.

making a pair of these for each leg, one I'll weld onto the leg and the other will go on the other side of the frame and clamp on with 1/2" hardware.
Casey's idea
3/8" thick

Just sent you a message … 137mm x 53mm. Put down the English tape measure Ian. 😤
Got the measurements through a few sources, deciding on this for the final after busting out my really big measuring tape:

.0001778 km long X 5.08e-5 km wide X 9.525e-6 km thick

the holes will be 1.27e-5 km in diameter and spaced .0001524 km OC

What do you think?

I would love to see what the fab shop says when they receive those dimensions haha.

Actually, that’s Send Cut Send … unfortunately they automatically figure the dimensions. No sense of humor.

Thought about using kush as a unit of measurement

I didn’t know Send Cut Send was in Humboldt County CA!
Figured you of all people would know the ancient Sumerian unit of measure. But I like the idea of using a doobie as a measurement.

Gutters
Opened this can of worms yesterday.
Fortunately, nothing is alarming.

Going to be opening that same can here in the next week or so. Nice to see yours are in good shape!
Yeah, couldn’t let that scab go unpicked any longer.
Really very pleased I’m seeing no rust at all. This truck isn’t perfect but it is far from rusty…

Enhanced photo to show the “worst”spot…
It’s dirt.

Just took Paul out for her first long trip since tranny number 4. A little over 600 miles round trip from Austin area to Port A for work. The last two work trips in Paul were the first two transmission failures so I was a wee superstitious but since both of those were north to Dallas and this was Southeast to the coast I figured I was safe.

She ran great and performed well. Cruising in the low to mid 70’s at an average of 14 mpg. Mega head wind on the way down turned into a mega tailwind on the way back. Nothing beats a strong tailwind for easy driving.

Gave her a good rinse but need to moisten some cracks…

Main takeaway is how uncomfortable the OG driver seat is. Really noticeable when I hopped in Norman the 40 with the ProCar 90’s. I’ll have to do something about that soon.
