I ordered some Rud VLBG 5t lifting eyes for my bumper on EBay, I think I bought all five for $200.00.

Your bumper looks fantastic!

Thanks for the compliment! Can you post a link for those. I couldn't find them and would like to check them out. Mine cost about that for two.

Someone had messaged about approach angle and how far the bumper sticks out. Here's a pic. I haven't measured it yet but it looks quite good for this type bumper. And I couldn't get much more as it starts ramping up right from the end of the frame rail. I do know that at the bottom outer part of the wings to the ground I have just about 29.5" which is pretty good! If I raised it any more and the radiator support would be hanging brains. Sorry for the low quality shot.

I can’t find the ones I bought but they pop up frequently if you keep an eye on eBay.

These smaller ones for $60.00 or best offer came up and are 3000# rated but RUD has a safety factor 4:1 against breakage in any loading direction and would work with a smaller winch or you can wait for the larger ones to pop back up

Cool thanks. The ones I got are 5500 lb with a 5:1 safety factor. RUD is a good name brand though. They make decent tire chains as well.

Look what I found cleaning. I think I'm gonna use this on the 80. Maybe on the hood sides. I'm always wanting to put stuff down on there but always stop my self cause I don't wanna scratch the hood up. This might be perfect. But a little land rover stylish. I'll powdercoat them flat black if I do it. Any thoughts. I have three long pieces of it.

Then I assume you have no plans to Bedliner your 80?

So with the set up on the bumper and wanting to keep it clean, today I'm going to mount the solenoid pack under the hood and extend the wires to the winch and the hook up for the controller. I'm also going to do in cab controls. I need to find a good spot for the winch controller hook up. Debating on making a spot on the bumper or grill area? I'll mainly be using the in cab controls but want both options. I also bought a cheapo harbor freight wireless controller to play with. Any suggestions on where to relocate the female plug for the hand controller hook up?

Made some more progress. Made a bracket that utilizes two factory holes on the passenger inner fender near the washer fluid resivoir to mount the winch solenoid box. I'll put pics up later.
I also weighed the bumper fully loaded with the winch, fairlead and light bar attached it weighed in at 148lbs and change. I'm happy with that. I can pick it up and slide it on the truck myself holding the hoop. Probably gonna order the die set and material for the roof rack tomorrow.

Thanks man! And after looking at yours I'm thinking I need 37's. Lol
my 37's are looking smaller every day , time to regear and pull the trigger on 40's , but i need a bad ass bumper to go along with em ;)

Did I read that right?....you may be selling these beauties?
Gonna have to watch this thread ;)

It's been a bit. I was busy with some other projects but I think I know how I want to attempt my roof rack....
I think I'm going to do something similar to the pic below. I think it will look really cool and I can't find any pics that style on an 80. I'm not going full exo. But up out of the fenders and over the roof, mounting to the gutters as it heads back. It will cross over the windshield and also a few times over the roof. I think it will look clean and compliment the front bumper. And provide some rollover protection maybe. Better than nothing anyways.
