I like the little luxurious features of my LX but the sunroof is one I could have done without. The little extra storage space up top would be nice too.
I saw that about the sunroof in the last thread you posted. Please tell me you are not going to put an aftermarket sunroof in your car. That is a receipe for disaster and poor resale.
I guess you learn something every day. I would've guessed they didn't import any non-sunroof 100s...
Could have been a special ordered rig. I have a 96 80 in my 'hood with: cloth seats, lockers, 3rd seat, no sliding windows, and no factory tint on any windows. Weird to see. They guy said his brother (orig. owner) ordered it that way.ATLcrusher said:

That is a toyota part that came on the newer LCs. Do a search and you will find the part number. About 15 bucks and 30 seconds to install.

It's a worth while switch since the original cover doesn't provide any utility and wastes what little space is there.

No sunroof
Toyota did bring in some LC with Cloth and no sunroof. Most got leather added at the port or dealer. I sold my 99 with cloth and no sunroof 3 years ago and loved the cloth. (looked new with 60k and 2 kids on it) Now on my third 100 this one is a loaded white perfect example that just hit 62k today. (purchased 3 years ago at 30k)
