@scpa0501 nice find. Much cleaner than mine with 170k! Keep us posted on the mileage! Curious if any major problems were repaired. Make sure you check those heater T' s!

I feel you pain on the 3rd gen frame rot. Been there done that!
According to dealer records the t belt/would and all associated tensioners and pulleys have been replaced numerous times. It has a new rack, new suspension, all new coils and plugs, all the diff and trans service, new starter, and brand spanking new radiator and thermostat in the last 2-3 years. I have been meaning to look into the heater ts but haven't yet. Either way, I'm still so stoked at how clean it is. Best of all though... absolutely zero rust.

I went to check out the 519k yesterday... Aaaaaaaand I bought it. It was extremely clean. One owner, dealer maintenance records from day 1. It didn't look like the owner ever skipped a maintenance item. Not a speck of rust, no leaks, no noises, no rips or tears, no problems that I could tell, other than a RR diff lock that wouldn't engage. I suspect that it hadn't been used until yesterday, and there are numerous dealer records of diff servicing, so I don't expect that it will take much to take care of that. I went to see it from a wary point of view and was very surprised.

Thanks! I definitely feel obligated to carry on the torch of excellent maintenance. So far the only thing that needs to be fixed is the inop rear locker. Fuse is fine, and I've tried figure 8s but still nothing. Even with just the key on and selector in L, I don't hear any motor noise at all when I try he rr diff lock switch.

Looks like my 99 at 314k has plenty of life left in it based on this. I bought mine from a well to do couple in ATL and besides the usual door dings, the truck is immaculate and runs even better. Congrats on the purchase!! Good luck with your Rear locker troubleshooting.

It could be the actuator, but when I had my 100 it would not engage at all unless I was on uneven/bumpy ground. Figure 8s on dry pavement would not get it to engage, but going into parking lot with a bunch of pot holes or speed bumps would.

I am so glad this well-loved truck found a good home. And yes, getting a 250+k miles WITH SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE is better than getting < miles without the scheduled maintenance. Toyota knows what they're doing on these. Love it! Enjoy it! p.s. A great color for the 100 series, too. Not as common, and a really nice color.

Try tapping the solonoid locker to activate it. May be long time, the mechanism froze up. I had to spray WD40, tap the solonoid, and try locking my F&R locker in the 80 bought from 1 owner with 240k miles over several days before it started working.

Tried the H/L shifter in my 100 and it was stiff like crazy- took 2 hand to shift. Keep doing that over several days and now it shift alot better but not butter like yet, so I'll get down there to spray WD40 later on.
