Hello , I been here for a while now but this is my first time post on diesel section I thought 80series is the way to go but, its been a year since I completed my diesel swap 12HT on my 97 Cruiser but my oil pressure and tach weren't working , I mean the tach it wasn't hook up yet one thing I want to make it work first is my oil pressure gauge , seem very simple two wire connection to the oil sending unit but when I plug the wire from 1fz to the 12HT oil sending unit its not sending it , was wondering if is there any other wire that related to the sending unit that needs to be grounded.

swap the 1fz sensor into the 12ht

I know there are mixed feeling about this, but i'd personally ditch the stock gauge and get an aftermarket mechanical one so that you know what your oil pressure really is. It's probably the most important reading as far as gauges go.

Yea ,that's one of the reason why I'm so concerned because I could running without oil pressure and by the time then it will to late so , the other day I run into this problem that almost blow up my Engine , I was coming home from work about 75mph and notice the truck it gets faster and faster and I let up the throttle and still going , so this is going to be the ride of lifetime and traffic is ahead , my first thought push the clutch and engage neutral , wrong the motor scream in full throttle and cloud of a black smoke , I have a stuck throttle don't know what to do except turn off the ignition , that's how you do it , then I pull to the side and open the bonnet and check there you have it , the injector return spring broke and left the injector pump wide open , its a good thing I have a rubber strap cord in the truck and use it as a return spring , went to the hardware store and buy a temporary spring , any one know where to get that parts?.

Your truck is very nice, but VERY confusing to me! You've got a LHD '97, so it's not imported, but it's got Aussie headlights, JDM fenders, VX LTD side trim, monsoon rear windows, rear spare tire carrier (with matching upper and lower tailgates), and Lexus LX450 wheels. You've obviously put a LOT of work into this rig if it started out life as a North American truck!

Yes it is ,let me say this I'm a Land cruiser type of Person from another country where pretty much Diesel Land Cruiser everywhere , and when I move in the U.S. and look to buy a Diesel Land cruiser at the Dealer , and they said to me no such thing as Toyota Diesel here in the U.S. well that's explain it all , after I found out about it decided to buy a north American model and build my own overseas version Land Cruiser which is started a LX450, thanks to Specter off road and Sheldon at G&S Cruiser for getting the parts for me.
