Oil Pan Gasket for 12HT

Hi!
I found this oil pan gasket{i think its paper} at cruiser parts-12151-68011-A. Its listed for a 2H. Will this work on a 12HT? My other confusion is Ive heard mention
that the 12HT oil pan did not come with a gasket, that you have to use some kinda tube goop?
If thats so, if you can make a gasket work, does that throw off the tourqe specs?

Use a quality silicone RTV like Permatex Ultra Black. Torque specs are as per the factory manual.

There may be exceptions, but in the mid to late eighties Toyota stopped using sump gaskets and switched to FIPG (silicone RTV) on new engine designs.
