Does it have front/rear differential locks, indicated by a rotary switch to the left of the steering column, on the dash? Can you shed light on why the engine was rebuilt and by who, and what parts of the engine were replaced? I'm sure answering these questions will help you in selling your LX on this forum :) .

Replace Engine Info

The engine was replaced June 28th(billing date) of 2004 by TLC(Independent Toyota Lexus Care) in San Diego. The original engine was damaged due to an upper radiator tank that failed. The engine severly overheated and was damaged beyond repair.

Both the radiator and engine were replaced. The replacement engine was taken from a land cruiser with 79k miles.

Feel free to contact TLC @ 858-541-0852. The repair order # is R012966. The vehicle had 166,753 miles on it at the time. There are currently approximately 170,000 miles on it now.

It does not have front/rear wheel differential locks.
