Phenomenal advertisement. Beautiful 80, beautifully presented and preserved. GLWS.

Would this truck sell if:

The seats were replaced, repaired?
It had new tires?
The wheels were powder coated?

What needs to be done for people to be interested in this truck? I thought for sure a 1-owner, CA truck would sell immediately

This one sold for 22k? 20k? Not sure what it went down to.

What makes that one sell for 5-10k more than this one?

the other truck had a lot of pm done. also with a cracked dash that’s a fairly involved process to swap if you can even find one. it’s a nice truck. with lockers i think it would’ve sold already.

So if we replaced the following items, it would instantly sell for $15-$18000?

1) OEM O2 sensors
2) OEM spark plugs/wires
3) Michelin LTX/MS tires
4) OEM drive belts
5) OEM front and rear brake job
6) Front and rear differential fluid change

Right now the best offers we are getting are $7-$10k

Government is shut down right now, San Diego has a huge federal population. That's about 3-4k in maintenance, plus the LX penalty vs the LC nameplate. Zero lockers as mentioned above, and with it sitting in a barn as a "barn find", nearly every piece of rubber will need replacing from dry rot.

I saw this LX being transported on Balboa and thought it looked decent when it was at a stop light.

I have the same thoughts as prwillard though. The lack of maintenance, the condition, being an LX model, and color are probably deterring buyers. Most people desire a one owner car that's pristine and doesn't require the need to do anything. This one is lacking in some areas unfortunately.

One owner 30 year old truck…? I suppose it could happen.
