97 LC vs 97 LX450

Try to find one in the South West .. no rust and usually one or two owner rigs driven by retired dudes with money! As stated before .. when you find the one you like, price won't be an issue. If you find a locked LC or LX with low mileage (less than 100K) and can get it for less than $9K, consider yourself lucky (They may be cheaper in rust belt areas, but why would you want that??)

And by the way .. the people buying cruisers don't care about the state of the economy or the price of gas. If they want it, they want it. If you stall on a really nice rig, I ASSURE you that someone
will snatch it out from under you .. guaranteed.

just my .02 cents

x2. I had this happen numerous times while looking for a locked LX for my wife.

I looked for a long time. Had to get an 80 period. Finally found a LX450 with only 91k and could not pass it up. I have to admit I have a hard time telling people I drive a Lexus. Sometimes I tell a white lie and say I drive a LC instead.
