Yikes! $12,500 and your first post. This may not go over well with the muddynistas. Check some similar cruisers and you'll see you should be well into the four digit range. Best-o-luck.

$12.5...whats the deal with the roof

The roof.....

Looks like a bad homeowner version of Linex only different. Redo. Price is somewhat high, but could be good news down the line when I sell my 80.

Fandango, GLWS, but I would look at more comparisons..

Agreed. That is one strange bedliner job on an otherwise nice truck.

GLWS

Agreed, thats a great truck aside from the roof. looks very clean. No interior pics.... would like to see the innards...

There's a 40th Anniversary for sale here locally and its in better condition with a little higher mileage for 7,950. Gonna have to say you're way over priced. Especially with that half assed roof. Pictures of the interior would be nice though. I'd say you need definitely need to be in the 4 figure range...

He said OBO in his craigslist ad, but I don't see where he asked for opinions on the price or the truck in particular.

Disclaimer- I know nothing about the seller or the truck. This kind of ad-bashing used to be frowned upon on mud.

That's considered bashing?

In my opinion, yes. Particularly because the first comment opens the door to all the other tire kicking opinions.

If you're interested in his cruiser, call him up and tell him what you think it's worth.
If you're not interested, why comment at all?

Any serious buyer and cruiser aficionado is going to know the market in their area and what they're willing to pay.

Just my $0.02.

How I see it is that offering a means to a realistic price will only make his sale that much easier and quicker. If it's viewed as bashing, and potentially tainting IH8MUD's reputation, then I do apologize. Others may say it's offensive to post a clearly overpriced enthusiast vehicle on the vehicle's largest enthusiast site as the seller's very first post. I guess it depends on how you look at it.

Either way, this is off topic, and I do still wish the seller good luck, as I did above.

Fair enough. Good luck to the seller. Aggie maroon is popular in Texas!

SOLD. To the first guy that came to look at it. Yes this one is nicer than the typical one filled with empty keystones and grease monkey shirts with your name on it. Surprised you didn't like the kevlar roof coating. Everything works on this and I have spent a lot of money on it mechanically.

Congrats on the sale! Things are worth what a buyer is willing to pay and a seller is willing to accept and that's it. Plain and simple.
