Any members in NC want to check this one out for me? Looks like a good deal and this ongoing search is killing me. I've sent an email about lockers, rust, maintenance records already. Hopefully I'll hear something back soon!

It was a unique combination of "possibilities" and concerns.

No lockers. AC not working. Headliner falling.

paint issues on top - was outside a lot - peeling

Most of the gear was put on back in 2007 (lift, rack, bumper), so was getting pretty old.

Tires may be new, but off-brand slicks.

The Slee Front bumper had been in a couple wrecks.

All said, the engine sounded strong.

Interior was nice.

Very little surface rust underneath - pretty clean.

Lot of oil underneath - owner states all leaks have been fixed, just not cleaned.

Owner was a upfront & seemingly a great guy.

I looked at it yesterday as well. AC was totally not working when I drove it. Owner did send me a video this morning of it working properly. I second the oil underneath. There was old oil gunk caked on the engine and front of drive train area that needed to be cleaned. There looked to be some fresh or at least liquid oil at the oil pan underneath. Not sure if there is a small leak at the seal there or not but the underside was wet and there were two small drips formed on the underside of pan (I currently drive a '97 with oil leak at oil pump seal). I also ran the carfax on it to check the owner claims on the two "incidents". His son (2nd owner of 3) did have the first accident that dented in the Slee front bumper. The winch tray of that bumper is curled and folded back. The second incident was by the current owner (dad, 3 of 3) with the same front impact listed. Not sure if any additional damage was done to bumper. He is not willing to sort the AC out at this time. Made an offer for the truck that he rejected. I grabbed a couple pictures of problem areas while there. If someone needs them hit me up. I left my offer standing with him and can update if I hear anything back.

@PowersMFG Would love to see your pictures. I'm considering making an offer. If you don't mind, what did you offer?

I left the offer standing with the owner as it was very reasonable for what the vehicle is. That said, I am attaching a few pictures of the paint, door trim, front/back under carriage, engine bay. They are not great pictures but it will give you an idea. I have more from the owner about the same quality for the under carriage.

He wouldn't talk to me any more after I asked if the AC was working. So, this one won't be finding its way to my driveway.

That is too bad. I gave him my offer, cash in hand OR get it fixed and I will give you asking price. I am local and didn't mind waiting if he was interested in getting it done as part of the deal. He acknowledged that the AC is a big deal but was not interested in fixing it OR dropping his price. I may get back in touch with him in a day or two if the ad is still running to see if he wants to reconsider.

It is probably worth mentioning that the truck has run hot on him before. He has an aux temp gauge he installed himself to monitor it. He told me it ran hot one day and the temp gauge in the dash was dead center.

I wouldn't mind buying it and fixing the AC, the guy won't even respond to me now. It's strange.

I'd pay the current price, but that's me. I have a specific purpose for it though, so the AC isn't a big deal for me. Unfortunately the guy is a bit of a flake to deal with.

Supposedly the truck is sold. I would imagine the seller received asking price as it was pretty reasonable IMO.

Agreed, ad is down and he never responded back to me. I offered him $6,600 for it based on no AC/fan when I drove it. I wanted to leave room for parts there if I needed to replace the system and figured I would have the hood, cowl, and roof resprayed. I currently have a '97 CE with 229k on the clock. I will probably just build that out and find a decent 100 to replace as my daily.

I was hoping to buy it to replace my 100 (LX470) daily driver as my commute is shorter now. Let me know if you want an incredible LX470.
