I lost the o2 sensor on my 95 FZJ80

Check engine light came on.

I re-installed the o2 sensor, and now I'm trying to clear the check engine light.

I pulled the fuse, let it sit over night. Light is still on. Pulled the fuse, moved the key back and forth to the on position several times, let it sit overnight. Light is still on.

Any thoughts?

should be obd 2 hook scanner up to port in fuse . area l e ft of dash. you Can read codes and erase.

What fuse did you pull? All you need to do is pull the EFI fuse in the engine bay for 30 sec. Done.

I thought 1995 was OBD1, not OBD2. From your signature, you've got a 1995 FZJ80. Is your truck OBD2?

If I'm OBD2, that could explain why the code won't clear.

I looked around down in the footwell area for an OBD port. Didn't see one. Maybe I will look harder.

If it has air bags it is OBD2. The port is in the fuse box by the driver knee. What codes are set?

That was my problem. It is OBD2, and I didn't know it. Used my OBD2 scanner, cleared the code, all is well. A big THANKS to the good folks of the Mud community.

If it was obd 2 then pulling the efi fuse should of worked.
