Hey guys,

I noticed that my oil temperature is dropping down when I'm going slow or stop. It's all good while driving, perfect in the middle, but as soon as I go slower or stop it drops almost to cold. Is that any bad or common? Signs of something bad? I do have a little oil leak at the rear diff, don't know if that is linked to each other.

Second thing I noticed is right on top of the engine is a small hose which seems to blow out a little bit of black stuff, is that a early sign of a blown gasket ? Picture of it down here -

sounds more like oil pressure dropping down low during low rpm?

Oil pressure should be between 1/3 and 3/3 when driving, and when idling anywhere between 0.5/3 and 1/2 when idling.

If you're seeing what you think is low pressure when driving, check the oil level first, and change the oil filter to a new one.

The right-angled hose is the crankcase ventilation which feeds back into the air intake. There's always going to be some oil residue in that hose.

Thank you very much.
