the NJ word..
I recently fixed my frame rot problem on my 94 Hilux by buying a nice rot free 92 to replace it.;)

Sold the 94 to my cousin who has more time to fix the frame problem.

Question is, are there many major differences between the two other than the R-12 AC verse the 134 in the 94?

Got used to maintaining the 94 and i'm thinking it's pretty much the same truck.

Assuming your Hilux is a Surf or 4Runner and the engines in both are the same size and type, there are no major differences between '92 and '94 trucks.

It is pretty much. The differences are so minor I don't know them, and I don't care. If I need a part for my '91, I'll take parts off of any 89-95.5. They're that similar.

If it is a 22RE truck the clutch is a different size than a 92 and the ABS may be different. As well the front brake calipers may be different depending upon the truck model.

Somewhere around 92 they changed a lot of the electrical connectors, switched to an electric speedometer and other minor things...

A 92 should have had electric speedo/VSS in the t-case. There are quite a few minor changes but 92-95 are fairly close, I have only ever been done in by the clutch.

Thanks for the input.
Any of you guys got a good source for used OEM hilux parts?
I would like to get some dash parts. Looks like someone was either a moron and broke some of the dash putting in a stereo or it got stolen and they broke it getting it out.
