‘91 Reverse lights... sensor/linkage? (1 Viewer)

Searched and couldn’t quite find someone with the exact same issue.

Reverse gear works fine, shifts into and out of fine. My reverse lights and dash indicator do not though... unless held in a very specific spot between reverse and neutral. But when the shifter is solidly locked into reverse, no lights.

What needs to be adjusted here? Would it be the linkage? Is there a sensor down there under the console?

probably the park neutral safty switch that needs to be adjusted, just loosen the bolts that hold the switch on the trans and you should be able to rotate it a little bit to make your adjustments
