Hi all, new to the board and Land Cruisers in general. Bought the wife a 91, She loves it except for the lack of running boards....It seems my options are limited for this year. Any suggestions on a reasonably priced oem (vs hard core off road ) style ??

Toyota did not offer running boards for the 91-92. In any event, the OEM boards for 93-up are discontinued. Anything you look at will be "aftermarket" If you plan to spend money on something, you would be well served to go to a set of sliders with rock rails. They make fine steps and you still get to spank them on rocks without caving in your rocker panels.

Hi all.
Just a thought, Would he be able to put on 93-94 running boards?, I know they have mounting brackets on the body panels, Just unaware of the earlier 80's,I have a set off my 94 Im am looking to get rid of, Cheap, Im in Salt Lake City, So...WA. is kinda far off.
Just a thought :)

The 93-up flares are wider and the running board end caps will not integrate with the older, narrower, flares. It would be possible to put later flares on the vehicle but that would be cost-prohibitive.

Just get some aluminum ones. Continental makes them. Lund has some. etc... They are pretty generic in their mounting. I don't think late model boards would be cost prohibitive as you could easily find somebody who pulled them off and also pulled their flares. Garage space is at a premium, at least at my house. However swapping flares to get running boards seems like a lot of work. And finding straight running boards could be an issue. Or I would think the caps could be trimmed with a dremel and exacto knife.
