1988 FJ62 Landcruiser Rock Crawler Project
Clean title
162k miles .Has been wheeled once, was a buddys wife's daily driver before that.
I drove it back and forth to work for a few weeks before we started working on it.
The top has been chopped after the front seats, and the rear overhang has been shortened about 13".
Fenders have been cut to clear 38" tires with no lift. (low center of gravity for rock crawling)
The fuel injected straight six(3fe) runs great with no smoke and no noise.
Truck was an automatic (sold) will come with (uninstalled) most of the parts to convert to a manual SM420 (7.05 to1 first gear).
Parts include: the manual flywheelclutch, pressure plate, slave cyl/master cyl, hyd lines for the clutch, brake/clutch pedal assembly, 1f bellhousing (to mate the 420 to the 3fe), also the nose cone kit to mate the 3fe/sm420 using the 1f BH.
A good working condition SM420, a brand new adapter from Extreme Bends with hardware, a good working condition early (3spd style) tcase, etc.
Also a wing style tcase mount for the transfer case.
I think all that is needed to finish the swap is a 11" chevy clutch disc ($50from Napa).
Also included will be all the parts to swap over to the earlier round headlight front end. Also extra headlights, bezels, grill, etc.
Tire and wheels in pics are NOT for sale. Will come with rollers.
Want to keep and finish, but need a new transmission for my Tow rig.
