1982 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER LANDCRUISER DIESEL, 312000kms, 5dr, Manual, 4x4, Cylinder 4, Diesel, Awesome running condition. Good interior. CD Player, Roof Rack, BF Goodrich Off Road Tires. Both Batteries Replaced. The normal rust for this model year. Local vehicle since new. Private sale. No GST! $4,800.00

would this truck be able to be turbo'd???

They both sound like pretty good deals to me...is that Canadian or American dollars? Regardless, sounds reasonable. I would definetly investigate the rust issue...from the pic it doesn't look too bad. Different people have different ideas of what "some" rust means. Take lots of pics and post them here if your not sure or concerned about any rust...there are plenty of people here willing to offer advice.

Good find...and good luck-

basically auto 6cyl vs manual 4cyl...... im guessing the 4cyl is going to feel like im driving a vw van up a mountain pass.

all canadian dollars. how much does it cost to turbo an auto 6 cylinder?

Oh, I forgot to ask...stupid question, but do you know about the diesel tech section of this site?? You might want to post there as well.

Those prices are way lower than when I was looking to buy a diesel 60. Good luck!

Not only is this between a 6 and 4 cylinder, but also between a manual and a auto. I'd say go for the 3B, better known as the 4 cylinder diesel, simply because it has a standard, but that's just me.

There are always things you can do to improve on power! Can you say turbo?

i finally have pics of this truck....

but i cant post them..crap... but its a pretty rusted up cruiser :(

Sent you a PM...I will post your pics if you send them my way.

The price seems a little steep after looking at the pics...best advise I could give is, don't commit just yet, look around some more. For the price I would think you would be able to find something less rusty.:frown:

Definately hold out. You may have to travel a bit to find one with less rust but it would be worth the time and extra cash!!

I was thinking the same thing....

Turboed a 3B engine is a great idea .. but I rig look a good amount of rust and body $$$ work needed.

So if your plans include a tubular body .. go for it .. :grinpimp:

Better to get a good body/crap motor than vice versa, if you care about the body at all. That's $10K worth of body repair right there, whereas that would buy you one hell of an engine.
