85 FJ60 Wheel Fitment Question

I am currently on 17" Alpha Equipt wheels and running a 35/12.50/R17 Nitto. I'd love to go the tall skinny tire route, so I've been looking at running the factory 17" steelie Tundra/4Runner wheels with LT255/85R17 MT Baja Boss and they are around 9" wide..

So my question is , do the factory steelies clear the manual locking hubs and with such a narrow tire should i be clear of having to use any spacers?

I'm running them with 295/70's (33x12) and they need 1.25" hub centric spacers.

Do you remember what bore size they were? I went this route once before and they were too small to slide over the front hubs.

They are 4.25" centers. I think you tire choice and size are great. I get a little scrubbing on bumpy corners but it the width.

I have some, under my 80..lol But yes, the want list never ends with this thing

Do you remember what bore size they were? I went this route once before and they were too small to slide over the front hubs.

I just remembered that I had an issue too. The rears have a lip that fit perfectly inside the wheel but won't clear the front hub.

So I had to order these too.

I believe the 2nd set will work on all 4.

I’m running that exact tire/wheel combo with 80 rear axle and big brake kit up front. With 1.25”-1.5” spacers it would be the same.

and the wheel itself fit over the front hub? That's why i was worried about bore size. For the Spacer and wheel to fit the front.

106m is the actual stock wheel bore.

Regardless if you add spacers; as long as they (the spacers) are the same bore; no issue on fitment.
