love my 84. bought her with 121K miles, some bad body work on the rear lower quarters and the cargo area had been stripped. only paid 1700 and it's my dd. i would have to agree though that you should be able to find something closer to your local. if you pay 1500 and it cost you 500 to get back home you just increase the cost of your rig by 30%. i'd hate for the maiden voyage to be a long drive home before i've had a chance to assess any issues. lastly, you can bet that smog pump is gonna seize eventually. take your time and find a rig you will not curse everytime you have a problem with it.
