Hello all, it's been a minute.
So, my 2f was desmoged many years ago. The EGR Valve is still attached. Being that most ( will attach pic) of the air hose ports are capped/ plugged, does the EGR still function.
The reason I ask, is because once the engine is started it idles very rough until it warms up, no matter what the daily ambient temp is, and water/ condensation always accompanies the exhaust.
There is always a smell of fuel, and a significant hesitation when I stomp on the skinny pedal. I have a 5sp, and can get her up to 85MPH on the highway.
If the EGR valve is a moot point, it doesn't make any sense to pull it to clean.
If it's still functional, then maybe some of the symptoms the engine is exhibiting, might be caused by the EGR. If its no longer needed being that the 2f has been desmoged, can I remove the EGR valve? Will a blocking plate be needed and does someone make them.
What else can the problem be, what should I check?
Should I turn the 2f into a fuel injected engine?
Thank you mucho.
