Little wheeling with aikirilo, pooterman, and some locals from PBB.

The go around on this claimed a Jeep axle.

That looks like chandler.

It was.

Was there for, all of, and hour and a half before duty called.

Sent a group text and never received a reply from anyone. Didn't think anything of it (cause the FJC guys never reply unless going).

I don't like wheeling there, at all. The terrain is ok, but sticky mud, but having to check for authorities before leaving, sucks.

Dude your rig is slowly becoming my favorite pinkpanty 80 evr! The tube front end is really growing on me.

Sent from my busted to s*** EVO4G

Thanks.

Tubes are an acquired taste, and it's still growing on me. Function over form was intent, considering the weight savings. Finally received the correct dryer for the JDM relocate, so that'll help with aesthetics.

The added weight of the winch has impacted the overall stance, but I'm not spacing the front, due to the current balance ( all seems to be happy, up front ) so considering lowering the rear. Only issue is the coils come from OZ, so testing cost $$$$.

After recent mechanical issues others I've been wheeling with have experienced, may try to do a PS drawer to carry expendables and still need a rear bumper, so hopefully it'll squat a bit.

Know Chandler well. There's one new burned out car there every year, it seems. A few years ago it was a 2006 Dodge 1 ton quad cab dually. Vin tags removed, etc. kinda creepy.

Dan

The VIN tags were removed on the PTC, too.

Couple guys are/were cops, so they inspected for tags. Had I got pulled over leaving, was going to say I was with a couple of cops looking for stolen cars ( story was suggested by the cop ) hahaha.

Hate that it's so shady getting in and out.

Are you local?

There has to be a better way for the locals to utilize Mud and get the wheeling word out.

Right now, I group text my "FJC" and "LC" contact groups, but an FJC buddy claimed he never received yesterday, and when I checked, they had both failed on IPhone.

May ask OkieDave if we can utilize the GCC forum for wheeling announcements. I know they don't utilize Mud, fully, I'm a member of GCC too ( I think current. Guess I need to see if I owe ) and it'd be a convenient way for all the locals to coordinate group runs. Works on FJCF in the regional section, so should work here.

For S&Gs.

From PBB

Got some great pics and video from Saturday, I'll post a link to my youtube. Those Lexus LX450's were pretty bad ass. I have to admit I thought we were gonna have some pavement princesses worried about some of the trails we planned on hitting but you guys really impressed me.

Lived in Tulsa for 4 years, then moved back North in 2011. Spent a lot of time out there, so I am reliving some memories looking at each pic you posted! Have a buddy with a 3rd gen 4Runner that works down the street from there and he still wheels it on the weekends and the occasional lunch hour.

Good to see that black Lexus is in good hands. Remember watching that one up for sale and wishing I had the cash.

Great pics, now on to watching the videos!

Looks great Chris. Although I guess I'm not in the wheeling list cause I never got a text either.

You'd be pissed driving two hours for Chandler, but it was all inclusive, regardless.

Group texting more than two is a fail.

Text you and several others yesterday to no reply, so maybe an issue with my phone.

Still livin' on Tulsa Time?

Hated to see Spenser sell the FJC then the 450, but at least the 450 stayed with a local wheeler. Think he's moved on to the Hundy club.

What the heck was that Jeep guy thinking on the spider gear video?

I don't know. I heard on stock axles, but can't say. Sounded like a SBC to me, but they winched up from there, the hobbled out in FWD, so never heard the full set up.

From the bottom of the hill, it looked like he was going to roll backward.

Moved to Columbus, IN - closer to family in Chicago and to start my dream job. Tulsa was fun, and I miss the good offroading (Chandler, Disney, etc). I get back there once a year or so to see friends, camp, etc. I'll be back with my 80 some time this year, but it'll still be stock and I'll have the family in tow... No wheeling this time.

Was that the go-around heading up the powerline trail where you go around the tree? I know someone who rolled a Jeep backwards the long way (end over end) going up the step. I tried it in my little baby 4Runner on 33s and just about had the same experience.

I didn't get any group texts yesterday either, unless you asked everyone how their new born was doing....

Not group, but individual texts to you, after the newborn query.

I was worried I'd overstepped the bounds with my FB request, and reason for no reply.

If so, my apologies.

When you're here, look us up, regardless.

I did not share this sentiment when wheeling the FJC, but have heard others say that Clayton is the best wheeling in the entire SW. I have to agree, but Disney is a blast, too.

I have forty minutes in washing the undercarriage from the Chandler trip, and still too muddy to wrench on, plus a few other locals claim they've been getting ticketed leaving, otherwise I'd see it more.

The locals more familiar with the area claimed it "Door Killer", the one I went up, since it throws you into the tree. The jeep was on the go around for it, which didn't look extreme, but without judicious of the skinny pedal, guess anything can be intense.

The common theme amongst the crowd seemed to be " throttle through", which is the antipathy of what I feel is doable on the semi-bullet resistant axles I'm running.

Don't know how to " Share" the YouTube channel, but here's the post with link, for more Chandler trails down memory lane.

Had a great time guys. I have been slowly posting more of the videos each day. There was over 5.5 gig I took and it bogged down my computer for two days trying to upload to YouTube. I have now been lowering the quality and uploading one at a time.

I was in the XJ and my name is Brandon

Here is a link to my YouTube page from the outing.

Guess I need to figure out what an XJ is.
