They're narrower, not doubt.

Probably attributable to the 345/75/16s being mounted on an 8" rim, but, visually speaking, the 12.50 Krawlers will have similar contact area once mounted on the 8.5" wheels, if the 12.50 KM2 width on the FJC is any indication of mounted size.

Know this much. The Krawlers should remain relatively true to height, since the wheel width shouldn't impact when mounted, and, if that's true, they're significantly taller standing up next to the existing.

Wheel hardware is still in transit. Says it'll be here Friday.

Monster valves should hit today. Can air down in 30 seconds, up in 50-60. Have to drill rims to install.

Recent discovery on the wheels, figured out when trying to order the fifth.

Congrats you got yourself an elusive set of 3.75" TR rims

That ain't a good kind of elusive, at least not when trying to order a matching.

Think they're gonna rub? Bahahaha.

Meh. We have paved roads at the mall here.

Bahahaha.

Think they'll tuck behind the slim ring fairly well.

I've not dislodged the stem on these....yet.

First time they go, can guarantee the ring will get bigger.

Nice looking tires... But let's be honest here how many times this evening have you though about selling your "new to you" TR wheels so you can get a matching set of 5....:)

Are you making me an offer or merely trying to inflame the voices in my head?

Those new meats look nice! Jealous!

I may have missed it, but what promted the switch from KM2 to Krawler?

The ability to benefit from pressures lower than 15psi.

I can't say it's all in the sidewall construction, since the KM2s on the FJC do seem to conform more to the terrain than those on the 80, but the sidewall on a KM2 is stiffer than the Krawler.

Thinking it may be due to the 345/75/16 mounted on the 8" OE, but speculation, too. After 18psi, there's no gain to lesser pressure, visually speaking, and 8-10psi is too low for (in my opinion) unlocked beads, but it still doesn't seem to grip well.

At Clayton, several guys noted the same, all asking of I'd aired down, and I was sitting at 15psi. They were mostly running bead locks at 8-10 psi and sticking to the slick rock like a tree frog to glass, where I was having issues.

We all know how much carnage is possible when using too much skinny, so the added traction (I hope) will minimize. Probably just break axles sooner, but with two LandTank machined shafts, c'est la vie.

I hope I don't regret not going to 39s. Bahahaha.

Haha - The later.... I can't keep up with you - I'm just getting around to mounting up a set of black LX wheels...........

Trust me. I'm finding it difficult to keep them at bay.

It's only .25" difference per wheel, but still the fact they're not a standard Trail Ready offering, and I only have (4), makes it more difficult to not be irrational.

Funny how you can know so little about someone yet know them so well..... I'm sure you'll figure something out.

I typically don't utilize text lingo, since I do know how to use the English language, but

LMFAO!!

I've said, in a lengthy dissertation on FJCF (imagine that), that personality traits/disorders are magnified in the manner by which we modify and utilization of the end result, none more so than my own (except I don't talk much, if you can believe).

"To truly experience quality, one must both embrace and apply it, as it best fits the requirements of the situation. Such an approach would avoid a great deal of frustration and dissatisfaction in modern life."

Just curious, but did you try using a different gauge to verify that 15psi? Reason I ask, is that last year I went on a trip with a guy (who drives a 80) that ran km2s, and was having a similar problem. Long story short, it turned out that his gauge was way off at lower pressures...

Possible. Will double check when swapping.

Hardware arrived, so all left to do is get a tap for the monster valves and get to work.

It'll be nice to air down in seconds, air up the same.

How do you plan on airing up in the same time? CO2 bottle or compressor? My experience is CO2 is much faster but more costly to keep the tank full with bigger tires.
