80 third row seats in a 40 (1 Viewer)

My wife thinks the jump seats in the back of the 40 are not nearly safe enough for the kids to ride in (can't say I disagree), so I'm looking for options for front-facing seats.

I used to have a Con-ferr unit in one of my other rigs and it worked well, but I missed having the space in the back to haul things, etc.

I really don't want a fold and tumble seat since that takes up a good chunk of cargo space, too.

I also don't like the idea of drilling holes in my tub to accomodate a seat if I don't have to.

Has anyone tried to convert a set of 80 series rear seats to fit a 40? From first glance, this seems like it could be done, but I've found nothing in the FAQ's or thread searches that shows anything like this......

Any help? Thanks in advance.....

Anything you mount on top of the wheel wells is going to be too tall for head room.
I dont see the 80 rear seats fitting any other way

I have been looking...

I have been looking at mounting seats in the same way. I have ben refered to this post on several occasions and now I refer people to it all the time. I have seen several people who have done this exact same thing and it looks great on each one.
