Has anyone put a 2UZ-FE from a 100 series into an 80? I am thinking about buying/building an 80, but would like more power. Rather than a turbo or supercharger, why not a used 2UZ-FE? Just an idea.

There is a thread where a guy put a V8 from a Tundra into an 80. That is the only swap that I can remember.

Since I need a new engine in my 92, I've been doing a little research into all my options which included both the 2uzfe and 1uzfe V8s. So far, I found some aussies mentioning the fact it can be done, but even after searching sites overseas, the only documented installation is the thread referenced above. A lot people talking about, but none going through it.

Now I just need an 80 to begin the process! I'm seeing 4.7's with 50K or less for $1-3K depending on what you get with it.

Hi there I actually have a new gen (2007+) 2UZ-FE with 18K miles, that I'm looking to sell. It was from a 2007 Tundra and it had seized crankbearings. I rebuilt it and now it's running perfectly! I'v been a mechanic for Toyota the last decade and it's rare to get to see the inside of one of these engines they are rock solid!

Insurace paid for the new engine in the Tundra (which was around $20K for the complete engine!) hahah They could have just bought a new Tunda for that money!

Anyway's make me an offer this is probably the best working 2007 2UZFE you'll find and with the lowest miles!

oh PS the engine is legit, it has all the VIN's and identification.
