I know it's blasphemous to not have at least 3" lift and 35s, but I'm curious about how much you like the ride of the 861/862 combo over stock springs? I had the shocks replaced earlier this year (needed for inspection) and thinking about the springs to improve the ride quality but don't _need_ a big lift for a new driver coming up.

Cyclehacker, I did not replace stock springs, the truck had a 2.5/3" lift I - She needed it lower, The 861/862 are equivalent to stock hight, might be a tad taller. as frar as ride, I never drove on stock springs, so I have no base line for that, and I do not drive it that much, but as far as i can tell its okay. Not squishy if thats your concern? It has 285's on it with pleanty of room to spare. and I went with Toyota shocks.

So in that spirit I’m going to ask another one.
Now that you are back to stock height I’m curious what the distance is between the bottom of the fender (not the flare) and the top of your wheel (this negates the size of the tire in the ride height). I measured all of mine tonight and I’m between 10.75 and 11” (on 16” wheels) on all 4 corners. This looks to be the stock height in the front, but about 1.5” low in the rear if I understand correctly.
It’s funny to think that with these older cars one could get better ride height just by retuning to stock/OE springs.
I will try and get out there some time to get the measurment, here it what it looks like on 285's I think when I did the lowering, the measurment was about 20/21 inches from bottom of flare to centercap.So in that spirit I’m going to ask another one.

Great looking rig! I'm always jealous of the black ones with good paint like yours.
Thanks so much for helping me out with this. I'm right at 19-19.5" from the bottom of the flare to the middle of the center cap, so I've definitely got some sag compared to stock.
BTW, the RHD 80 as a mail truck is GENIUS.
