I also want to thank brittan, Cdaniel, Hitit66, LandCruiserPhil, mikeob1, murf and rudster for helping at various stages of this project. Your helps made this project possible. THANK YOU!!!

Remember: Use red Loctite on all hardware during installation.

I can help with the welding...

All the pieces and parts needing welding is done but thank you for the offer.

Other manufacture of caster plates recommend the plate be welded on the front edge once installed. I believe this is a safety thing. I want to see what would happen is you didnt weld them installed. So far mine have not moved, loosen, or fallen off yet. Now that I know what I know I we weld them for additional safety for the future. :hillbilly:

I have had couple members PM about installation. I found this MUD link https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-...te-install-read-if-you-going-wtf-yelling.html

Install can be done in a couple hours easy for a couple of guys if you keep story telling down to minimum:rolleyes:

I used the method noted ***Here's what I ended up doing to make this work.***

We did not remove the wheels/tires just chucked all the tire along with the e-brake so the vehicle could not move. Place jack stands under frame at front(safety), remove old arms, loosely bolt up front of arm at axle, raise rear of arms and bolt up, remove nuts one at a time use lots of Locktight red, and torque to spec. After 50 miles check torque. Enjoy the ride!

Check tie rod to arm clearance. Some need it some dont. I found the need for more clearance. Alot will depend how hard you push your truck. YMMV

Note: Its a lot easier to grind on your arms for more clearance off then on the vehicle.

Group buy on bushing? Does Murf have the inventory to support our needs?

I was told not to use locktight because if a part loosens then you can't tell. Also I thought it messes up the torque spec?

Several of the other manufactures of caster plates recommend it. Just say'n:meh:

Group buy on bushing? Does Murf have the inventory to support our needs?

we had these bushings in stock when I checked last week. We can have any bushings flown in 1st class overnight from LA for no additional charge if more are needed

I was talking to Brit about this, so if the group buy goes forward you can count me in.

I don't see any reason why CBT doesn't want to sell up to 14 sets of bushings.
Group buy usually implies a better price. Murf already gives us a really good price, so it might be polite to ask him if a group buy is feasable. Maybe he could deliver them at the club meeting?
