Update: I talking with a supplier about getting the parts laser cut - seeing what the price point and viability is... He is slow getting back from the holidays, so I am waiting as well.

I just found this thread. Unfortunately I was in the process of buying my 80 when you were making your first batch of these, so it hadn't been on my radar yet but I think this is definitely the way to go if you don't need a heavy duty bumper. I like doing long runs into relatively easy terrain, but if you are 80 miles from anywhere and get a flat you are screwed, so I like to carry two spares, (and want to keep as much weight off the roof as possible). It looks like you did an awesome job on these, and this seems like the perfect answer, .....so put me on the list for a hitch style if you are able get these going again and make some more.

I am also interested on t Bumper mounted swing out Tyre Carrier as well, very nice Fabrication and design. Does the design allow you to lock the spare with a combo or keyed padlock for theft prevention ?

Hey all, I'm working on it. I had a shop lined up to cut out parts for me, and he pretty much flaked. When I pinned him down, he referred me to another shop that I am now in contact with. I'll know by Valentines what the deal is.

IIRC The LX has a cover over the 4 bolt holes in the bumper, if that is removed, you should have the same bolt holes as the TLC. So, theoretically, it should fit, no problem.

Tire carrier Update!!!

I had one production partner lined up and was waiting for some lead times and pricing... and he summarily totally flaked on me. So, I found another. I am out of town this week and my truck is at the new facility's shop getting measured for a jig setup and have a cost analysis done on production. I will update by the weekend, hopefully. I am committed to making this a reality for you all. Thank you for your incredible interest and patience.
