The Whole Hog mount allows you to retain the factory body panel and factory sub woofer grill - especially important in fooling would-be thieves that have targeted your vehicle. The mount attaches using the factory hardware and the speaker is centered in the factory sub woofer location.
This mount allows bolting of an accessory amplifier below the 8" sub woofer. There are two different footprint areas on the mounting plate, one allowing for a 11 1/2" x 12" vertical mount or a 13 1/2" x 8" horizontal mount. For both mounting footprints, there is a 3" amplifier depth available. It is designed to allow airflow through the factory body panel vent located below the factory sub woofer grill with or without an amplifier installed. The factory amplifier is not intended to be used with this mounting system, although you might want to take advantage of the factory signal cables for the amplifier turn on signal depending on your install.
