At the Toyota dealership in ABQ this morning getting the a/c checked. Was like a dog breathing on me yesterday driving from Dallas.

Also getting the battery and charging system checked. Yes, I was that guy last year!

See everyone this afternoon.

I can bring a set of OME 860 springs. $100. Perfect condition.

Wednesday is going to be super busy at Kendall Mountain. @B-RAD is the official HIH7 host and he and @smakee can help everyone get into their camp spots. We have plenty of room, but we need to have established camping spaces in order to fit everyone and everything that is coming. Look for the registration booth inside the ski lodge to check in and get your registration bag (and goodies) before heading to your camp location.

There will be some impromptu runs Wednesday afternoon if anyone is interested. Ask around and camp and we'll put a few short runs together.

Opening ceremony is at 6:30 at the Wyman Hotel 1371 Greene St, Silverton, CO 81433 Wear your lanyard and name badge.

Thursday morning will be really, really busy. 100s will be moving and coming and going. Please be careful pulling in and out of camp. There will be dogs, kids and dazed adults wandering around. By all means, let your kids and pets play and have fun, but remind the kids to watch out for vehicles maneuvering around camp. This will be an unfamiliar area to most folks and they may be pulling a trailer or backing up with all kinds of gear blocking their vision and creating blind spots. Just a reminder for all of us to be mindful of our surroundings. Safety Third. o_O

Hey Stan, if you brought the springs with you and no one has called for them yet I'll take them!
See you guys in about five hours

Rolling out of ABQ at 10. Should be there by 4.

$1700 to get my AC fixed at the dealer 3 days before we left. This was after replacing the rear evaporator myself only to have the front start leaking. Now the rear blower motor isn't working. :bang:

We are in our way down!

Small power steering leak. Can any of the master mechanics diagnose this based off one photo?!

Oh Oh!!! Trouble in New Mexico !

View attachment 1504566

Oh how I don't care for New Mexico po-po. We drive through a town called Clayton, NM (aka "Hell on Earth): 6-lane, perfectly straight road through an all but dead town where the speed limit is THIRTY mph for the entire length of 3 miles. That 30mph zone extends nearly 2.5 miles outside of town where there is literally nothing except dead grass and a horse I once saw. Of course....there are 2 local cops in waiting. One stays parked under a tree right where the speed limit drops from 70 to 30 (very small sign) waiting to pick off the unsuspecting motorist. The other, is about midway thru town, clearly waiting to get those that think "heck, no one is here, might as well speed up" Clayton, NM = speed trapville

Made it into silverton. Eating at the Bent Elbow and will be heading towards camp after!
