For 78 and later 40's with the side window defrosters, are the OEM bolts still available that replaced the knobs that fasten the windshield frame to the dash? Would anyone have the part number if still available?

Thanks
Dave

See the pic from my microfiche set. Looks like p/n for that bolt is 90119-08121.

The correct part number is 90119-08293 and those bolts are discontinued from Toyota.
Thanks for the reply. The 90119 08121 posted above looks like the bolt for mounting the bracket to the dash??? I retrofitted the side defrosters on my 77 and currently have allen head bolts with washers securing the window frame to dash due to the interference with the defroster.

I have a full side defroster set-up sitting in a box but never considered the windshield bolts.

Anybody have a pic and dims?
When I get back to work, I can take a few pictures and measurements. I have 3/77 build, so my 40 never came with side defrosters, but I added them. I believe the later models had a tapped hole or a nut tacked onto the back of the dash for attaching with a single screw. I ended up using an allen head screw and nylok nut.

Thanks a bunch! 2/78 build here. I always thought the hole to anchor the defrosters was just tapped into the sheet metal of the dash. I must have thought the screws were just screws and not bolts (the ones under the rubber plug) but I'm not certain. I know I have a few of those in the box... wherever that dang thing is.

What I've never done is learn the exact location to drill the pilot hole in the dash for the vents themselves. I've saved images off Mud to try and extrapolate where to start but that's all. If you have that number written down I'd appreciate your sharing of it.

Question: Does anyone find that the heater fan speed needs to be on high to push enough air to the defrosters? I have a rear heater that radiates a ton of heat but I don't use the high speed fan setting much because of the noise.
