This was a project that started because I picked up a rough but close to complete FJ40. I collected most everything needed to put together a trail beater/ summer fun driver and the project stopped there. Now I’d like to free up some cash for a different project. I’m just trying to get close to what I have in it back.
’78 FJ40 rolling chassis and tub. Good frame. Rough Body…I was gonna slap it together and drive it ugly. All steering, brakes, etc is there. Someone pulled the motor and tranny and stopped there. It has the engine bay VIN tag but the one on the door jamb is missing. Good beater material nothing close to restorable. $600
Complete 2f motor (‘76 I believe) with all accessories from bellhousing to fan, oil pan to carb. Includes starter, alternator, everything but the aircleaner housing. Bought as “running great when pulled” from a reputable h8mud member. $300
Complete 3fe motor. All accessories and fuel injection sensors intact- no A/C pump though. I heard this one start and run before it was pulled w/200k on the clock. Also have a complete wiring harness to go with this. $300
Complete 4sp transmission and transfer case combo with bellhousing and clutch fork. $250.
The reason for the two motors is that I was going to build a fuel injected 2f. I’d really prefer to sell all of the above as a package for $1300. The only thing I do not have needed to assemble a complete truck is a couple of factory seat brackets. If someone wants just the rolling chassis I will sell the other stuff individually but I don’t want to sell individual parts unless the rolling chassis is sold.
Most of it is at my buddy's shop right now but I can get and email pics to anyone interested.
