77 fj40 tub on 72 frame?

This is my first fj!
I have a 72fj 40 and the tub is in rough shape. I found a 77 tub in great shape
It's tub only. I was wondering if I can just swap out my tub for the 77. Any info would be great!

Yep, change away! I have the hood, fenders and w/s frame off a 79 on my 72. I put a 76 tub on a 64 a few years ago with zero issues.

The one major difference will be the floor around the rear of the trany cover and center support beam.
