I was late to read this but back in 1979,wife was driving a Chrysler Cordoba with Rich Corinthian leather. Upon leaving the supermarket, once started and released the key, it stalled… when I called the Chrysler service dept the man told me in 3 seconds….BALLAST RESISTOR. Put a new one in at the parking lot and drove it home. Glad you’ve got it solved
