Can i suggest that you use the hdj/hzj/fzj79 fender indicator assembly's? Imho they look a lot better than the 75 ones. I can get part number if you like. Nice build though i gotta say👍

I might have some chrome 70 series ones in my parts stash. Let me find them and you can have them for free if you want. That's if I haven't given them away already :)

Thanks but I can’t stand chrome. How did you end up with 70 stuff? You should add them to your 40.

More poser shots.

Today seemed like a good day to do some dirty work. The inner fenders need a good washing in order to figure out what sections will need to be cut out, bent back or reinforced. I was surprised this one turned out pretty good after all the mine clay was scraped off. Sprayed it with some rust remover and will see how that does.

Both inners cleaned up okay but there are lots of cracks, dents and bends to repair. The outer area that mounts to fender is very thin and will need reinforcement. I only cleaned the top. The bottoms still need love. One looks likes it took a joy ride over unfinished asphalt. Looks like gravel cemented into it and will take more than a scrub brush, simple green and a water hose to dislodge. I see a trip to the car wash coming this week for some high pressure sprayer action.

I managed to get the right side inner fender in place. It took a little bit of prying to line up with fender. The fiberglass fenders I have are missing one mounting hole but I don’t see an issue. Once it is coated with seem sealer again it should be okay. The left side is the bad one and I got a bit of welding done on it today. I have a can of Raptor Liner left over from the 80 that I will be painting them with.

I did some hacking today on the rad support. Basically cut off the rad mounts and used some rectangular tubing in its space which moved the rad forward about 1.5 inches. Now I have just enough room to add the fan. I have some 80 series rad mounts that I will figure out how to weld on the new support. I’ll figure out that tomorrow as well as strengthen it up a bit.
The 60 rad fits pretty damn good now.

I ordered a pair of proper 75 series floor pans from Australia last week which I think it was my third oversees order in the past few weeks. Amazed at how easy it is these days. Exchange rate is also awesome ordered from Australia. It was $200 shipped for the two pans off eBay. And if they ship DHL it gets here quicker than most domestic ground shipments.

Nice where did you found those ?
Ebay. When I ordered last week they were selling as a pair. The company Aveska does list them on there website in pairs.
or another company has them individually on ebay. au for a little more.

Yesterday I went to Napa and went through their radiator hoses. I am amazed the two I chose worked and even got a two for one in the deal as well. The excess I cut off the upper hose was used at the bottom.
The top integrates a crossover tube that also reduces from 1.75 to 1.5 so I can mate it to Toyota. The bottom I now just need to get a coupler to join the two hoses.
I also got a proper 70 series prop rod so the 2x4 can now go away.

Added in OEM headlights. Probably won't keep the sealed beams in as I have some Trucklite H4 housings but I need the mounting rings, screws, and it was cheap enough to buy the whole assembly. I guess its time for body work and electrical for awhile. I will start with starting and charging so I can move this thing on its own. I didn't get a photo but I hack welded two pieces I had laying around with the correct splines for a steering rod. It won't be final product but will turn the wheels.

Man, you're brave to work in this heat!

Did you hit up Mauricio about buying the tray?
AJ was going ask about it. I worked out in the garage most of the day yesterday and I think that was enough for this week. Today felt like an oven and I had no motivation to do anything.

Hi mate I was wondering if you would be able to speak a bit more in depth about your body mount workings as I am doing a coiled 75 aswell and am stumped on how to go about it. Cheers, Trent
