Awesome build! I also would ditch my current fleet and buy a 70 series if they brought them back. I’m in BC and we did at least get them for a short while, but only swb hard tops (as most of you probably know).

I put the dash skeleton back in so I can figure out electrical placement. I also need to make sure all my vent pieces are accounted for.

I got a brand new accelerator cable in today and it will need to be chopped and modified to work with the Cummins. Toyota used a ferrule end and the 12v uses a ball joint end. This is my project for the week. I may swing by a bicycle or motorcycle shop this week to get an opinion on best way to do it. I’m pretty sure I could make something work but no need to do that since I’m in not hurry.
On my 80 series 6BT it looks like a universal end was used but doesn’t look like it was shortened so I can always go that route. On the 6BT in my 75 the linkage is toward the rear of the p-pump so about 2/3 of the new cable will need to go away.

We finally had time at work to finish dash cluster. I’m really digging the bare aluminum. I was thinking of painting it but as of now I will leave it. Kinda has a back to the future look to it.

Looking good , what are all the small things next to the big gauges ?

Top row is high beam and turn signals. Bottom row 4wd and locker indicators.

The diesel Delorean is looking great!

Looks great. Is there any way you could add backlit labels under the auber gauges?
I haven’t decided if I want to have labels or not yet. If I do I will probably spring for laser etching. Backlighting would take some thinking that I’m not capable of at the moment. I already have too many other things to finish.

Accelerator cable modded to adapt to engine.

Magic hour before dark is now tolerable to get out in the garage. Tonight I managed to start my interior fuse panel mounting. This one will be setup for hot and ignition on/run circuits. I really like that It has connections for all wires So nothing is permanent. Still need to figure out another box for ACC. Trying to find a three circuit box that is small enough was impossible. Hoping to bolt it in tomorrow and start connection wires.

Those are cool!!! Where did you get them?

Felt like I had some good progress today. Managed to wire in lots of goodies. I modified the CDL and locker ECUs to mount above glove box and ran power to them. There was some nice bolt holes already there. I wired in locker dial and H4 switch to use as CDL. I added momentary grid heater switch that will light the glow light when pushed as well.
Since I was in that area of the dash I drilled a hole for the brand new hand throttle. I had previously welded up that area due to a odd hole that the mine company put there.

Weather was perfect this morning to get out in the garage before football started. I managed to get the part time kit installed in the transfer case. Pretty straight forward. It also was a bit lighter afterward which is always good with a 6BT installed.
